In my search for an implants support group, I was surprised to find that most of the information and discussion groups were PROMOTING implants and downplaying the problems!

One of the discussion participants seemed very skeptical of my problems, and proudly posted her plastic surgeon's name and the date she had her silicone implants inserted -- only three months and a week ago -- I was amazed she was giving advice to women and encouraging them to get implants.

Surprisingly that same young woman has been told by her doctor that she needs a surgical capsulomoty to remove the firmness -- and she is still HAPPY with the implants.

How can someone who has just received implants, offer objective, long-term advice?

My implants were removed out of necessity on Feb 20, 2001, I had three previous surgeries to remove and replace ruptured implants. My fourth and final operation was required because one implant had pushed through my skin.

I continued looking for a website that could offer emotional support, and that is when I happened on this website.

This website tells it like it is. I just hope, and pray, women see it before they make the same mistake!

The object of the other sites I viewed, seem to be there for the purpose of promoting implants.

When I posted my problems there, I was treated like I was the great exception.

But with what I am finding on this website, and the fact that, celebrities like Jenny Jones, Mary McDonough, Pamela Anderson, Muriel Hemmingway, Loretta Lynn, and many others are experiencing problems, and have decided to have theirs removed.

In fact there was a segment of a program screened on CBS on Feb 24th, (just a day after I had been to my plastic surgeon for my post-op appointment to have drains removed) which contained a story about actresses having implants removed because of unacceptable problems.  As sad as it is I am glad to say I am not alone.

I (like most of you) was told my implants would last a lifetime, now, I understand the manufacturers are admitting that they only last about 10 years, and then must be replaced.  I intend to give your website address to the women on the websites that promotes breast implants.

Women should realise that implants DON'T add to their quality of life!

I regret that I was foolish enough to get implants.
Four operations, thousands of dollars spent, only to end up disfigured.

My surgeon said that "this is about as good a result as can be expected."(see photo--what do you think?)

PERSONALLY I AM DEVASTATED

Your website really shows the true outcome of what can happen because of implants.

Ironically as I sat in my plastic surgeon's office waiting to have my implants removed.
The brochures on the counter, and on the waiting room table, was filled with photos showing beautiful, full-busted women, proclaiming

"You, too, can have the beautiful, full shape that you have always dreamed of"

You can imagine the anger and bitterness I felt as I waited.  I wanted to send the company that manufactured the implants, a photo of me, with four drains hanging from my disfigured breasts.

All the additional surgeries, costing thousands of dollars were at my expense.
