Here we have two silicone breast implants, the
one on the left is new, the one on the right has just been removed from the
body. Note the difference in the color. The photo on the right is a great
example of
GEL BLEED. All implants have microscopic
holes in the shell, this allows silicone (or saline) to seep through. How fast
it seeps, is dependant on the silicone viscosity. If silicone, and saline can
seep out, it stands to reason, bodily fluids can seep in. This provides a great
breeding ground for bacteria, and fungus.
One thing we do know, once a silicone implant is
place in the human body, that body is chemically change
forever!
