I had always been healthy and active, and suffered only normal, chidhood diseases.This changed immediately after getting implants. Within the first 7 months, I underwent two closed capsulotomies.

For those who don't know what a closed capsulotomy is, it's when the doctor physically grabs, twists and squeezes your breasts, to break loose the scar tissue, that has formed around the implant. Each time this procedure was done,the pain was so excruciating, that I had to be sedated!

Here is an extract from the doctor's report:
"Utilizing forceful application of both fists on the right breast, the fibourous capsule was ruptured, and a marked softness was obtained instantly"

Three months after I was implanted I had to have a lump removed from my right breast, and a lymph node from under my right arm.

When I decided to undergo breast implant surgery, I was aware of the inherent dangers associated with surgery (infections etc.). However I was totally naive with regards to the safety of implants. I, like most other women thought that the manufacturers (in concert with FDA) would have conducted the necessary test protocols to assure that the public was protected. The only thing I knew was that my health had begun to deteriorate, and I was only 32! It wasn't until 1992, when I saw Jenny Jones on a news program, describing the health problems she was experiencing, which she associated with her breast implants. As I listened I realised that the symptoms she was describing, were exactly like mine. Not long after that, I had a zero mammogram, and It showed that my right implant was ruptured. Seven months after seeing that news program, I had my Implants removed, thank God for people like Jenny Jones, who care enough to get the real truth out.
